An interview was conducted in an interview with HT Lifestyle, Anupama Menon is a Nutritionist, Health Coach Director and Founder of Right Living in Bangalore, stated, “There is only one rule to follow when choosing a starting point. It is that there is no single standard that applies to everyone. There is no one diet that works for all. It doesn’t matter if it’s intermittent fasting, ketogenic diet or a higher protein diet. Or a diet from the block. Every body is unique and should be treated accordingly. The concept behind losing weight or improving your health back in order is to not retrace your steps. You never return back to the beginning and the results you’ve obtained will not be lost.”
She suggested “First, it’s crucial to determine if there’s any issues in your body particularly those that are related to gut inflammation, inflammation, hormones, stress, and blood markers. They can significantly hinder your results. There is no reason to keep yourself from dining out or eating your favorite foods whether they are delicious desi sweets or those fried delights that can make it to your food list. Don’t be afraid. You can keep healthy (maybe 5 times per week for about 45 minutes) and still maintain your weight and overall health. You don’t have to break your back through your workouts in search of massive outcomes. Engaging with your diet, health, and fitness can require time. It might take some effort, however your body is too precious to do it differently.”
Sharing her knowledge to the sameissue, Ritika Agarwal Nutritionist Health Coach, the founder of The Mint Enfold, said, “I am all for eating a balanced diet, with every macronutrient thrown in because I believe that we require nutrients from all food groups in certain quantities. I’m not necessarily a believer in counting calories, but I’d rather focus on where calories come from. All carbs are not bad. Concentrate on the healthy ones, the ones with more complexity and the whole grains that contain all of the fibre and nutrients, as well as the vegetables and greens. Of course moderation is crucial not to overdo it with any food or category. That’s the place the mindfulness and whole-body approach to eating come in.”
Neha Patodia Nutrimend Director and Founder of Nutrimend, and also Head Nutritionist said, “The most commonly asked query to a health professional is “which is the most effective nutrition plan?” The answer to this is that there isn’t a best diet. The diet program that works best is one that’s created after listening to the individual’s desires, needs, goals to achieve, their lives and what is significant to them. Also, developing long-term habits is always more effective than adhering to a predetermined program. The expiry dates for diet plans are set but habits last for the rest of our lives. Therefore, coaching based on habit is always superior to the diet-based coach.”
