How many years have you been on ketogenic eating? Six years
What’s your most-loved keto-friendly food? Grass-fed ribeye steak with butter, oh my!
What brought you to keto?
In my college years I was intrigued by the benefits of optimal nutrition and the concept of peak performance. I wanted to know how I could nourish my body to its highest efficiency.
Naturally, I began to study nutrition. It was surprising that as I tried to put the nutritional advice I was given in mainstream practice, my energylevels, concentration and overall performance started to decrease.
It wasn’t until after I discovered keto that I realized what was optimal nutrition.
was and felt was like. I’m not saying that it was a bad thing I’m not saying that my diet is a ideal piece of food. I’m still a part of my many Ben and Jerry’s benters. I’m just saying that keto has provided me with the structure to nourish my body in a manner to make me feel more powerful and more attractive than ever before.
This framework has assisted in the process of restoring hormones after the birth of our son, and it also helped in reducing the post-partum weight gain. The ketogenic diet also helped my body fight cancer and bring it into total recovery.
Was it the toughest element of keto? And how did you conquer it?
The process of tracking macros is the most challenging part that keto has been for me. It’s not that it’s complicated, but it is an exhausting process. The great thing about monitoring macros was that it wasn’t required at the beginning the journey. With time, I started to realize what foods are the best choices and which ones were not.
The biggest changes you’ve seen in your everyday life?
The confidence to win the keto race! Not only was it possible for me to say goodbye for my muffin top I also gained confidence in the coaching field. Knowing how the mechanisms of ketosis and apoptosis work to treat the body has had a profound impact on my work. The knowledge gained has helped clients shift their’ attention from losing weight to promoting cell health and overall well-being.
The best tip for novices?
Many will say that keto has no room for errors, that keto isn’t a good choice in the event that you cheat. I’m here for you to remind that you’ll be tempted to cheat and break the rules at some point. We all do.
And what’s more? No matter what you do it is likely that you will experience massive results with this ketogenic lifestyle! Don’t be concerned even if you do slip up for a few hours (or for a month)–just do not make the habit of doing it. Instead, you should recommit to keto the next day, and then keep going!
If there’s one thing you could say to yourself at the time of getting started what do you think it is and the reason behind it?
Stop eating shaming yourself! The faster you can get over your negative relationship to food, the faster the results will show.
